After years, I finally visited the famous 50,000 silver bar. Usually, I would easily drive past it at the beginning of the trip and be anxious to stop. Yes, customers have donated $75,000 in the past 60 years to bars, walls and even boards hanging from the ceiling. They are displayed by year of donation and the location records who donated a specific dollar and when. Yes, you can still donate one. I don&rsquo;t drink alcohol so I can&rsquo;t comment on the quality of their liberation. The staff is friendly and well informed about the history of the company. But their gift shop is the first time for everyone, from T-shirts and usual trinkets to real antique silver coins (which now cost more than a dollar). If you are using I-90, stop and look around.
